Bold and beautiful

Created by Tampah Hills Co-founder Jonas Norberg, Villa Strata is Villa Sorgas’ big, bold, youngerbrother, offering a 360-degree view of Gerupuk Bay and Tanjung Aan. The stark impression of
cubic concrete is softened by a delicate use of wooden panels, creating a stunning play of light and shadows throughout the day. From the breathtaking sunrises over Gerupuk bay to the golden sunset, the light here is something to sit back and admire.

The spectacular infinity pool forms a natural social area, blending with the open kitchen and dining area, providing guests with space and air needed to reflect on the past morning’s surf over coffee and croissants. Or to lay out the yoga mats to loosen your limbs before the short boat ride out to the afternoon session in the waves.

Like Villa Sorgas, much of the furniture is bespoke designed, made by recycled wood and produced in-house. Curated by the team, the materials and shapes work in contrast with the concrete and stone walls to form a modern, unique expression.

The last important design element of the villa is nature itself. The open design lets the wind blow
freely through the villa, providing a valuable cooling effect. The grassy areas form a green contrast to the matt stone floors. And the natural waterfall of rainwater and hanging flowers from the open roof, down through all levels of the villa to the pool is simply mesmerizing in a tropical rain.
